223 Days of Bookkeeping Training

223 Days of Bookkeeping Training

n August, we delivered 223 days of bookkeeping training to women in Malawi — helping them gain the financial literacy needed to run their businesses with confidence and clarity.

This half-day course equips women with practical skills to record transactions, manage cash flow, and make informed decisions — all within their own communities. It’s a simple but powerful step toward building sustainable livelihoods and supporting their families.

August Impact Update

What’s the Project All About?

This project delivers half-day bookkeeping courses to women who are starting or growing their own businesses. The training helps them learn how to record transactions, manage finances, and make informed decisions — all within their own villages in Mulanje, southeastern Malawi.

With these skills, women can better support their families and build sustainable livelihoods. So far, around 8,000 women have benefitted from this initiative.

How it works

Training is community-driven. Village leaders or women themselves initiate the process, and once interest is confirmed, a group of 16 women is nominated to receive loans and training.

This grassroots approach ensures the program reaches those who need it most — and that it’s built on trust and collaboration.

Building Financial Confidence

This isn’t just about learning to balance books — it’s about giving women the confidence to run their businesses with clarity and control. With financial literacy comes independence, resilience, and the ability to plan for the future.

And it’s exactly the kind of impact we’re committed to in 2025.

After surpassing our 20,000 impacts goal last year, we’ve set our sights on 1 million meaningful impacts. No deadline. Just a mission to support projects that matter — and create lasting change.

Your Voice, Your Impact

Every month, we support initiatives that empower women, strengthen communities, and build a better future.

Thanks for being part of this journey.

Together, we’re #MakingADifference 💛
